Virtus Training - Sister Marie will be having a special Virtus Training session at the convent on Monday, Feb 6th. beginning at  10:00 a.m.  If you would like to participate in this training please call the school office.  As you know in order to volunteer in the school under any circumstances parents must go through the Virtus training sessions.

Reminder – Students may not be dropped off at school before 7:15 in the morning. 

Grocery & Scrip

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.  Looking for that special gift for your sweetie?  When shopping for the love of your life why not consider utilizing the Scrip program at Saint Thomas School before making that purchase.  The Scrip program offers many gift cards to various merchants as well as restaurants for you and your love to enjoy.  You’ll earn 1.5% to 16% depending upon your chosen merchant’s contribution.  That percentage from your total purchase will be applied towards your annual commitment.  Why not plan an intimate home dinner and use our school’s grocery program to obtain your shopping gift cards to Stop & Shop, Price Chopper or Shop Rite for all your Valentine’s Day cooking needs.  Don’t forget, if you’ve already met your annual family commitment, all additional purchases that you make during the school year the percentage earned from your purchase will go directly to the school and benefit each and every student at Saint Thomas School.

Countdown to National Wear Red Day

February 3, 2012 is National Wear Red Day®, a day when women, men, companies and organizations come together to bring awareness to women's No. 1 killer - heart disease. Help us uncover the truth and make ending it a reality.

St Thomas is having a dress down in red day on February 3,  2012.  Please send in a minimum donation of one dollar to donate to the American Heart Association.

Report Cards – February 6th.  Award ceremony will take place on Friday, February 10th . at 9:30 a.m. in the gym.  This has been changed because I do not want the award ceremony on gym day.

Junior Lego League

  Reminder: All JFLL club meetings will continue on Mondays after school until after the Stamford Expo on Feb 12th.

School pictures – Just a reminder that school pictures will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 8th @ 8:30.  Children must wear their uniforms for this set of pictures.

Catholic Schools month - Thank you for all those who helped to make CSM such a success.  The students were able to enjoy and participate in several activities during the month.  Our school mass was well attended followed by a delicious pancake breakfast.  Thanks to all the cooks who worked so hard on this event.

   COMING DOWN THE HOMESTRETCH!!!

Here we come down the front straightaway…!  Yes, the much anticipated Gala is nearly upon us.  Final preparations are nearly complete and with less than four days to go there is still plenty of time to make arrangements and join us in Kays Pier South at the renowned Aqua Turf at 6:30 this Friday night.  There will be music, entertainment, a fantastic horse race tournament, marvelous auction items, wonderful food, festive spirits, and of course...our beloved Saint Thomas Community.  So if you would like to attend and have not yet pre-registered please contact either Jennifer Humphrey (lanza1018@hotmai.com) or Lynn Bairos (lynnbairos@yahoo.com) for further details.
