Welcome to Third Grade at St. Thomas School |
|
Welcome to the third grade page!!! The leaves are gone, we had a prayer service to show our thanks for all the blessings in our lives, we are starting to think about our big Christmas show, that must mean - Winter is here! We are very busy here in third grade. In Writing, we are working on a descriptive paragraph about a pet or a winter day. That should be fun. We just finished working on sentences and nouns so we are ready to show our writing talents! In math, we are adding and subtracting four digit numbers, with regrouping and borrowing. It was fun being in familiar territory for a while. Soon we will be starting measurement for distance and capacity. In Social studies, we are learning about communities and how they are different and how they are the same. We are excited to do our second project of the year. We are going to be interviewing a relative to find out how things have changed or stayed the same over the years. In science, we are learning about life cycles of different organisms. We will soon be learning about how organisms adapt to their environment. We love reading! WE are working on 100% participation in the book-it program. We are close and when we get it we will get a special surprise. We are all excited about the eighth grade coming to St. Thomas School next year! We love our school and look forward to being here for 5 more years. Thanks for visiting our third grade page! |
